what’s a puddle?
A puddle is a pool of water big enough to step in. You can also float paper boats in puddles and use puddle water to make mud pies.
Puddles happen in the dips and dints of the earth after it rains. Rainwater collects in these little holes and forms puddles.
After a few days of sunshine, puddles disappear. Do you know where they go?
Some water soaks into the earth and the sun dries up the rest of the water in the puddle. It’s called evaporation. Puddles certainly don’t last forever. So when they are about, it’s definitely puddle jumping fun time!

Here’s something to do after a rainy day. You could make a nature raft to float in a puddle.
