Koah's Ark Nature Playground
Do you love getting outside to play in Nature?
I do, and so does my friend Costa the Garden Gnome. Here he is at the Koah’s Ark Nature Playground, hanging out and learning all about playing outside. He had the best day ever! He gave me a beautiful picture that Skylar had drawn for me. That’s going straight to my bedroom wall!
Do you have a favourite Nature Playground? I’d love to see it! Share it with me and don’t forget to tag me so I can see it!
How much time do you spend outside every week? Have you counted them lately? Latest figures suggest that Australian families are spending around 40 minutes a week outside. We all could do with more time outside! So let's get outside! Lets start this today! Here are some ideas to get you going…
You can do these challenges in any order, there’s really no rules:
…other than getting outside for longer every day.
OK , here we go…
Day 1…go outside
Day 2…show off your grubby hands
Day 3…Play around
Head outside to play around. At your place or in a local park - swinging, spinning and sliding are great fun.
Day 4…Make a nature heart
Day 5… Have lunch in the great outdoors
Day 6…head in the clouds
Head outside and spend some time looking up Find a comfy spot to lay down, you might pop out a rug and a few pillows or you might be happy just to lay on the ground. Watching clouds and seeing what cloud creatures live in the sky is an awesome way to spend some time outside. Take some pics and let us know what cloud creatures live near your house
Day 7…head outside and find something that is shaped like a heart
Day 8…me and my shadow
Find it, hide from it, chase it , photograph it or decorate it.
Today's challenge is all about you and your shadow
Day 9… Bathe in the glow of the moon
break the bed time rules and head outside and spend some time in the moons glow. Sing a song, read a story , have a dance or just see what you can see.
Day 10…Make a cubby in your backyard.
Do you want one more? - a favourite of mine when it’s too rainy to play outside - Go Rainbow Hunting!
