meet the gang!

dirtgirl is a multi award winner whose love of being outside, growing healthy food and leading a simple, yet rewarding lifestyle is really resonating with kids and families across the globe.

An eco warrior for a new generation, dirtgirl is an independent music artist with multiple ARIA nominations, an Emmy, big numbers on Facebook and an International Song Writing Competition ‘Best kids song in the World’ award, amongst her achievements.

If you ask scrapboy who he is, he will tell you he’s a problem solving inventor and part time pirate. His obsession is the ‘three Ahrrrss’ – reducing, reusing and recycling.

An eco-geek, scrapboy loves making useful things from stuff people throw away. Whether it’s turning an old teapot into a string dispenser or making an old bike into a pedal powered juicing machine, scrapboy always finds a use for everything.

Co-starring along side his BFF dirtgirl in the Australian produced kids TV shows ‘dirtgirlworld’ and ‘get grubby TV’, scrapboy is also a singer, whistler and a multi instrumentalist.

An global role model for kids under 10 across the world, scrapboy is ‘always ready to help’ with a creative solution or two to a problem.

He dreams of starting a pedal powered, digital tinker lab and taking families on fishing trips in a pirate boat to fish waste out of the rivers of the world.

Costa the Garden Gnome started out as a concrete garden ornament, ‘living’ idn dirtgirl’s veggie garden. That was before the ‘costavator’ and before the ‘transformation‘.

Costa is the kind of gnome that is all about loving life in the great outdoors. he knows everything about nature and gardening …but not a lot about jumping!

He’s big fan of the sun, the wind, the rain and fresh air – lots of fresh air.

Costa the Garden Gnome never gets bored because there’s always something to look at and something to learn from in the garden.

He’s deep thinking and excitable. Wise and caring. His new found mobility inspires him to travel and meet kids who are also into their naturehood.

music videos

the songs! Get Grubby TV is definitely music-centric.

Be prepared for the ear worm invasion, as the 3 friends deliver an infectious musical offering in each episode, growing the soundtrack of a new generation.

And the biggest musical news of all….dirtgirl, now has a band. A band of exceptional female musicians who will blow your idea of what kid’s music should be, out of the water. These musicians are role models for every little girl sitting with her guitar or drum kit in her bedroom or garage, across the nation. And we are really proud of that.

“Get Grubby TV is narrative driven, entertainment led, nature focused content that matters.”

— Cate McQuillen, Creator

As storytellers and changemakers, we are exploring the positivity of behavioral change in a world facing the very real challenges of climate change. We aim to celebrate an engaged and beautiful sustainable life where being connected to the natural world is addictive and delightful and fun...avoiding the ineffective and overtly worthy finger pointing that is sneaking into children's and family content.

This series inspires us all to head outside and get grubby. And there's some very good reasons (other than the fact that it’s the best fun ever) for the GGTV gang to be obsessed by their mission.

Kids, on average are spending 52 hours a week with electronic media, while spending less than 40 minutes a week outside.
Pandemic living and lockdown has escalated these figures and moving into the post Covid world, the need for readjustment and inspiration about heading outside again will be even more important. Research also suggests that kids love getting grubby…they just need some inspiration. GGTV is that dose of inspiration!

We still have little idea of how a global pandemic and lockdown have shaped how kids see the future. But we can safely say, that childhood has been disrupted across the globe. Families have identified that content that matters, connect that is authentically and lovingly representing their world … is what they crave.

And as the world grows its desire for a climate safe future - families want to positively and courageously connect with the story of change.

As creatives and an industry - families look to us for guidance as well as entertainment.

We believe that it’s the perfect time for Get Grubby TV!

GGTV is brave in its messaging, rockin’ in its attitude and gentle in its heart.

Getting grubby is about getting outside and getting amongst it, as much as it is about getting covered in dirt.
It’s about sustainable living and hanging out with nature. It’s about fostering a love of the big world outside.
GGTV is where the mainscreen of TV meets an Instagram-type of lifestyle curation and celebration.
It's a storyworld banquet for families of garden, food, craft and DIY fun. It's an invitation to families to connect, think and do!
