eco-friendly easter crafts

From upcycling old books into bunny garlands to decorating eggs with natural dyes, here are some Easter crafts that are both fun and kind to our planet.

make a nature nest

Another special way to celebrate Easter is to make a nature nest! This is a beautiful activity to do outside. Collect some nature objects and make a bird’s nest using bendy sticks, grasses, leaves, bark and feathers.

Using the bendy sticks, build a circular-shaped frame for your nest. You might need to tie them together with some string or raffia. Then add layers to your nest with grass, bark and little twigs, and decorate it with leaves and feathers.

Check out our Go Wild for Maths Nest Challenge to see how to make your own nest.

scrapboy’s egg-cellent easter challenge

Did you know that the foil wrapping on Easter eggs can be recycled? If you recycle it, it will be turned back into more aluminium to make new things (instead of just ending up in landfill).

scrapboy challenges you to collect all of the foil wrappers and scrunch them together in a big ball and then put them in your yellow recycling bin. You'll be showing your love for our planet by handling your egg wrappers with care!

bye

Bye greenthumbs. Happy Easter!

I’ll be hanging out with my chickens, collecting the eggs and picking heaps of carrots!!
