We are super excited about the National Sustainable Living Festival which is on from 1 to 28 February. It’s a month-long festival of workshops, talks, demonstrations, artworks, exhibitions, films and live performances.
The best bit is, you don’t even have to leave home to go to the festival! You can join in online talks and workshops, or you can host your own event. You can join in from anywhere in the world!

What is the Sustainable Living Festival about?
The Sustainable Living Festival is all about encouraging people to make choices to live more sustainably, and to take action on climate change.
It’s the biggest sustainability festival in Australia — and not just in the numbers of people that get involved, but also in its positive impact. It’s a movement of change-makers! A change-maker is someone who makes positive and courageous changes. That’s me, and that’s you and your family!
Changes can be big or little, but when we do them together they can make a ginormous difference to our planet.
FREE live-streamed family gig
From 5-7pm on Saturday 27 February (Australian eastern standard time), we are throwing a live-streamed family gig! It’s called dirtgirl now!
Celebrate with scrapboy, Costa the Garden Gnome and me as we bring you a DIY family festival in your own backyard!
Hang up some bunting, throw down a blanket and unpack a picnic as we gather together across the nation, in the twilight, to dance, sing and care!
Streamed live from a secret location, we will launch our first planet-loving project for 2021…Declare You Care.
You’ll explore the top 10 things families can do at home this year to grow a climate-safe world.
From seeing just how ikky you can go when recycling your food waste, to joining the home-grown revolution, and switching the way you make your power… this is a gig that will make you smile while you make a difference.
With plenty of songs, tips, ideas, special guests, and kidsperts (that’s a kid expert!) this is a lovefest to inspire you to keep going strong with your planet positive living or to seed a whole new way of doing things in your family in 2021.
